  • Château de Millery’s history is closely related to Château Figeac’s, as it belongs to the Manoncourt family. It was purchased in 1942 but its history goes back to Second World War, during which Thierry Manoncourt received a sub-lieutenant pay, as he was captured in Germany. Waiting for him to come back, his mother invested this money in a small estate of less than a hectare in size: Château de Millery.

It is located on a plateau to the East of Saint-Émilion on a very typical clay and limestone terroir, and its very confidential production of 4500 bottles per year was only meant to supply the Manoncourt family as well as its friends, until 2017 when the Caves Legrand were chosen as exclusive partners. From the vine to the wine, Château de Millery applies a sustainable agriculture philosophy thanks to Château Figeac’s technical team, always with the same diligence and respect for the terroir, which legitimizes furthermore its participation in the next selection of the Grand Crus Classés of Saint-Émilion in 2022.
