The domaine de la Pâturie was created in 1974 by Albert Demard and then taken over by the Joyandet family in 2017. After a training period at Cordon Bleu and later in Saint-Émilion, Julia Barzyk-Brommer (Alain Joyandet’s daughter-in-law) joined the team as winemaker, now the main character of the estate.
Since then and in order to assert the terroir’s potential, a true hard work has been achieved by contributing to healthy soils and vines. Also, the estate acquired a brand new cellar on top of the Champlitte hill, advanced vats, and high-quality oak barrels.
With its 20 hectares, the estate decided to move on towards organic viticulture to such an extent that Julia already took note of major qualitative changes regarding both quantity (30hl/ha) and quality.
